MU negotiate to buy Stiller

According to Sky Sports, MU is contacting Stuttgart to complete the deal to recruit defensive midfielder Angelo Stiller before the 2025 summer transfer window closes.

In the summer of 2025, the "Red Devils" want to strengthen their midfield and continuously ask to buy Carlos Baleba from Brighton and Adam Wharton from Crystal Palace. However, convincing partners to release people is not easy. Therefore, Stiller is considered by MU as the optimal option.

According to Sky Sports , MU sent representatives to Germany to complete the deal. This player has a contract release fee of about 36 million euros. But MU hopes to close the deal at a better price.

The German midfielder made 46 appearances in all competitions last season, and a move for Stiller could see Kobbie Mainoo sent out on loan. Stiller is more of a deep-lying playmaker than a holding midfielder.

The 24-year-old's strengths also include his ability to play through the lines, and he is one of the best defensive midfielders in the Bundesliga. Last season, Stiller outscored 73% of Bundesliga players in terms of duels won and led the way in terms of forward passes.

Stiller is still quite far from the level of his legendary senior Toni Kroos, but possesses a similar playing style such as intelligence, composure, accurate long passes and sharp tactical vision.
