A 'suspended' planned road in Vinh City is about to become an 18m road.

The route from Nguyen Thai Hoc Street to Hoang Nghia Luong Street (Block 9, Le Loi Ward, Vinh City) invested by Vinh City People's Committee is planned to be 18m wide, in accordance with the zoning plan, to meet the requirements of traffic, drainage, environmental sanitation, lighting, contributing to urban beautification, serving the people's lives in Vinh City.

Mr. Nguyen Dao Nguyen - a resident in Block 9, Le Loi Ward (Vinh City) whose land and house are subject to compensation for site clearance said: We have seen the city inspect, measure, mark and have been informed that the road will be built, but the site clearance has not been carried out. This route has been planned for several decades, due to the "suspended" planning, there are many difficulties for the people, we are not allowed to build, expand, repair houses, other rights to the land are also limited. Therefore, we hope the city will quickly resolve this bottleneck so that people can have more convenience in life, and traffic will be less congested.

Ms. Cao Thi Thu - a resident in this area said: Every afternoon, Hoang Nghia Luong street is crowded with cars, cars jostle each other to get around, while the roads leading to this area are all small, we hope the city will soon resolve the traffic congestion in this area.

Talking to Vinh city leaders, Mr. Nguyen Sy Dieu - Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee said: Hoang Nghia Luong road leading to Nguyen Thai Hoc street has been congested for a long time, currently the city is making a document to submit to the Provincial People's Committee to request resettlement land fund to have conditions to arrange for affected households.

It is known that the total investment of the project is 25 billion VND, the investment capital is from Vinh city budget. The project implementation period starts from 2023 and does not exceed 3 years.

The route is 115.28 m long, 10.5 m wide, and 3.75 m wide. The road surface is asphalt concrete. The items ensure the synchronous technical infrastructure system of the route, including: drainage ditches, manholes, lighting, sidewalks, trees, sewers, technical tanks, design of intersections at the same level, and lighting system along the route.
