The organization of the exam for candidates studying the two programs mentioned above will take place simultaneously on June 26 and 27. Candidates taking the exam will take the exam in Literature, Mathematics and an optional test (including two subjects from the subjects); candidates taking the exam according to the 2006 generaleducation program will take the exam in Literature, Mathematics, Natural Sciences or Social Sciences and Foreign Languages. On the afternoon of June 25, candidates will complete the exam procedures at the exam room, correct errors (if any), listen to the announcement of regulations and schedules; present their ID cards and receive their exam cards.
The Ministry of Education and Training notes that if you find any errors in your personal information, priority subjects, priority areas, or missing other necessary documents, you must immediately report them to the supervisor or the person on duty at the testing site for timely handling. For candidates taking the 2018 general education program, the morning of June 26 will be the Literature exam, the afternoon will be the Math exam; the morning of June 27 will be the first subject, the second subject of the optional exam.
Candidates taking the exam according to the 2006 general education program will take the Literature exam in the morning of June 26, the Math exam in the afternoon; the Natural Science exam in the morning of June 27 (including the components: Physics, Chemistry, Biology) and the Social Science exam (including the subjects: History, Geography, Civic Education), and the Foreign Language exam in the afternoon. Candidates who arrive more than 15 minutes late after the test start time signal will not be allowed to take the exam that day.
Thorough understanding, especially of new points, will also help candidates take the exam smoothly and seriously. Teacher Huynh Thi Hoa Binh, Principal of Lang Giang High School No. 1 (Lang Giang District, Bac Giang Province) said that through the study sessions on exam regulations, students have clearly understood the requirements of the exam.
Teacher Le Trung Kien, Principal of Nguyen Gia Thieu High School (Long Bien District, Hanoi) said that before taking the test, candidates must fill in their registration number and information on the test paper, test paper, multiple-choice answer sheet, and scratch paper. When receiving the test, candidates need to carefully check the number of pages, quality of printed pages, and test code on each page to ensure consistency (for multiple-choice subjects). If they discover that the test paper is missing pages or is torn, damaged, smudged, or faded, they must immediately report to the invigilator, no later than 5 minutes from the start of the test. Candidates are not allowed to mark or make their own symbols, and are not allowed to write in pencil, except for filling in the boxes on the multiple-choice answer sheet; they are only allowed to write in one color of ink (blue or black).
Up to this point, students in provinces and cities have been fully informed and have a firm grasp of the exam regulations by schools. In the essay exam, candidates are only allowed to leave the exam room after two-thirds of the test time and must submit their answers, test papers, and scratch paper before leaving the exam room and the exam area. For multiple-choice exams, candidates are not allowed to leave the exam room during the entire test time and between the two subjects of the optional exam.
If a candidate needs to temporarily leave the examination room, the invigilator must notify the examination room supervisor for coordination. The candidate's exit from the examination room or examination area in case of emergency must be supervised by the police and examination room supervisor until the end of the examination session and decided by the Head of the examination site.
Student Le Thi Phuong Bao, class 12A2, Yen Vien High School (Gia Lam district, Hanoi) shared that she has clearly understood the regulations and requirements of this year's exam. That is, she must clearly state the number of exam papers submitted and sign the confirmation on the exam receipt; candidates who cannot complete the exam must also submit the exam paper (for essay exams), the multiple-choice answer sheet (for multiple-choice exams); when doing the exam on the multiple-choice answer sheet, candidates are only allowed to fill in with black pencil the registration number boxes, exam code boxes and answer boxes...
In case you fill in the wrong answer or want to change your answer, you are instructed to erase the pencil in the old box, then fill in the box you choose. Candidates who are only taking the second exam in the optional exam must be present at the place where candidates are called into the exam room at least 10 minutes before the exam is distributed to prepare...
In addition to paying attention to candidates, the Ministry of Education and Training also pays special attention to testing locations and staff and teachers working on the exam.
Director of the Department of Quality Management (Ministry of Education and Training) Huynh Van Chuong said that the 2025 high school graduation exam has some new points: it will be organized into three exam sessions (for the majority of candidates taking the exam according to the 2018 general education program). Candidates will be arranged according to the combination of optional exams to optimize the exam room and location. Compared to previous years, the exam has one less exam session and two fewer subjects, thereby reducing pressure and social costs, while still ensuring quality.
On June 22, the Minister of Education and Training issued an official dispatch requesting the Provincial and Municipal Steering Committees for Examinations to direct relevant units to proactively and closely monitor the developments of floods, storms and typhoons; urgently review, inspect and reinforce facilities of examination sites, examination rooms, electricity, water and drainage systems to ensure safety and adequate conditions for organization.
At the same time, there is a plan to move files, documents, machinery, and equipment to a safe place; ensure absolute safety in the transportation and preservation of exam papers and test papers. In addition, prepare backup exam locations and rooms; guide and support candidates to get to the exam location safely, especially candidates who have to cross rivers, streams, ferries, roads at risk of flooding, landslides, etc.
