Opening the technology "door" for businesses

Recently, many in-depth and practical support programs have opened the "door" to technology to help businesses, business households, and cooperatives improve digital capacity and boost production and business activities.

Many practical activities
In early July in Hanoi, the Vietnam Youth Startup Support Center, the Center for E-commerce and Digital Technology Development (Department of E-commerce and Digital Economy, Ministry of Industry and Trade ) and the Vietnam Association of Youth with Disabilities jointly organized a training program, supporting employment and digital economic startups for people with disabilities.

Accordingly, the three units organize a series of training courses, provide learning resources and connect the creator community, and support the construction of appropriate product distribution channels through TikTok shop platforms, livestream sales, affiliate marketing, etc., suitable for the accessibility and actual conditions of people with disabilities.

Deputy Director of the Center for E-commerce and Digital Technology Development Bui Huy Hoang said that technology platforms, e-commerce ecosystems and training programs contribute to connecting people with disabilities with businesses and markets. The ultimate goal is to help people with disabilities have more motivation and will to start a business.

This is one of many activities organized by the Ministry of Industry and Trade recently to promote e-commerce and digital transformation in localities, while supporting startups to open the "door" to technology.

Since the beginning of the year, the Department of E-commerce and Digital Economy has coordinated to organize conferences, training programs and regional linkage events to improve the capacity to deploy e-commerce in provinces and cities.

Typical examples include the conference "Promoting regional linkage in e-commerce development - Central region reaches out with e-commerce"; the Regional linkage conference in Lai Chau is also a prominent event in the series of activities "Promoting regional linkage in e-commerce development in the Northern midlands and mountainous region".

In addition, there are many training programs with topics such as "Enhancing capacity to deploy and monitor e-commerce activities"; "Enhancing business skills in the digital environment and effective livestream strategies"; "Application of e-commerce for young entrepreneurs"... and some training courses in the provinces: Thai Nguyen, Hung Yen, Gia Lai, Quang Tri, Ninh Binh, Bac Giang (old), Hau Giang (old), Tra Vinh (old)...

Training programs provide knowledge on applying information technology in online business, e-commerce legal foundation, helping small and medium enterprises, cooperatives, and production facilities develop brands, apply artificial intelligence (AI) to optimize processes, improve customer experience, and promote product consumption through digital platforms.

Applying digitalization to production and business
According to Director of the Department of E-commerce and Digital Economy Le Hoang Oanh, digital transformation and e-commerce development are identified as one of the strategic breakthroughs to innovate the growth model, improve labor productivity and national competitiveness.

The Department will continue to organize more training programs on digital transformation, safety, network security, new technology skills; develop high-quality human resources capable of designing, operating and exploiting modern digital systems and platforms to serve the development process.

Through training initiatives, regional linkages and digital support, the Ministry of Industry and Trade aims to form a dynamic e-commerce ecosystem that reaches every enterprise, cooperative and small production facility in the localities. This is considered an important foundation for e-commerce to continue to play a key role in developing Vietnam's digital economy.

Director of the Center for E-commerce and Digital Technology Development Nguyen Huu Tuan said that with the goal of improving access and enhancing skills in e-commerce for all subjects, the Center will continue to implement specialized training programs and provide online courses for businesses, especially in disadvantaged areas.

These intensive training courses focus on four pillars: GoOnline to support businesses in building a digital presence and developing online sales skills; GoExport to help connect and operate effectively on cross-border e-commerce platforms; GoAI to equip businesses with the ability to apply AI in marketing, optimize operational processes and improve customer care quality.

In particular, GoAI also aims to improve state management capacity at localities, creating favorable conditions and better support for businesses in the digital transformation process. And GoRight aims to update the legal system, standardize operations, and build a brand.

“These activities are expected to help businesses expand their markets, improve their capacity, and promote export capabilities, especially for local businesses,” Mr. Nguyen Huu Tuan emphasized.
