Super cheap plums, only 10,000 VND/kg
According to a survey by PV, at present, plums are in season and are flooding the market. At traditional markets in Hanoi or on the internet, it is easy to find plums being sold at super cheap prices. Depending on the size of the fruit, the price ranges from 10,000 - 50,000 VND/kg of plums, with many retailers selling them for only 10,000 VND/kg.
According to Ms. Nguyen Duong - an online plum seller, Son La plums are sold much cheaper than at the beginning of the month. If in the first days of the month, depending on the quality and size of the fruit, the selling price fluctuated from 60,000 - 100,000 VND/kg of early-season plums, now the selling price is only 10,000 - 20,000. The plums are ripe, the fruits are large, even, plump, and the ripe fruit tastes sweeter, so they are favored by many consumers.

Ms. Phuong Hoang shared a note when choosing plums, you should choose plums with fresh stems and leaves. The plums need to be plump, smooth, not bruised or wormy. Delicious plums will have a layer of white powder covering the outside. When you squeeze them gently, you will see that they are not soft, black with red and green colors, the plums will be both crunchy and sweet.
You should avoid choosing plums that are too green or too ripe because they are too green and sour, and too ripe and red are no longer crunchy. They will taste better when cooked into syrup.
Taking advantage of the plums being ripe and super cheap, many women tell each other the recipe for making delicious plum syrup that is easy to drink and easy to preserve.

Prepare ingredients to make plum syrup
+ 5 kg plums
+ 2 pineapples
+ 3kg sugar
How to make plum syrup:
Step 1: Wash the plums, peel them, and score or remove the seeds. Peel the pineapples, dice one and puree the other. Then add the plums and marinate together.
Step 2: Marinate the plums with pineapple and sugar, then put them in the refrigerator overnight to dissolve the sugar. Then, put them on the stove and simmer for 20 minutes over low heat, skimming off the foam while cooking.
