Liverpool have passed the £200m mark in player sales in the summer of 2025, after youngster Ben Doak completed his move to Bournemouth. The 19-year-old signed a five-year contract with the new club, bringing in a transfer fee of £25m.
Doak joined Liverpool from Celtic in 2022 for just £600,000. He made 10 appearances for Liverpool in his first two years and spent last season on loan at Middlesbrough, scoring three goals in 24 games.
The Doak sale caps a busy summer for Liverpool, with the likes of Luis Díaz, Darwin Núñez, Trent Alexander-Arnold, Caoimhin Kelleher and Jarell Quansah also leaving the club. The proceeds from these deals will help Liverpool offset some of their transfer spending, which is close to £300m this summer.
However, that figure could rise even higher as Liverpool are still chasing Crystal Palace centre-back Marc Guéhi and Newcastle striker Alexander Isak, with the total cost expected to be at least £150m.
On the other hand, Liverpool are expected to see more players leave, with Kostas Tsimikas considering leaving Anfield following the arrival of Milos Kerkez. Tsimikas has been linked with Nottingham Forest.
Midfielder Harvey Elliott is also in talks with Leipzig, with the Bundesliga club seeing him as a replacement if Xavi Simons moves to Chelsea.
