Accordingly, the total demand for seeds for this year's winter-spring rice crop is about 981 tons. Specifically, purebred rice is 16,959 hectares, equivalent to about 763 tons; hybrid rice is 7,268 hectares, equivalent to about 218 tons.

Up to now, highland farmers have prepared the land and sown about 350 tons of seeds, of which Sa Pa town has 90 tons, Bat Xat district has 70 tons, Muong Khuong has 55 tons, Bac Ha has 85 tons, and Si Ma Cai has 50 tons.

Currently, farmers in Sa Pa town have planted 255 hectares out of a total of 3,600 hectares of winter-spring rice as planned.
