Leaders of Vung Tau ward (HCMC) met and listened to the sharing of religious dignitaries

On the afternoon of July 10, the Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, and Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Vung Tau Ward, Ho Chi Minh City held a meeting with religious dignitaries and representatives of management of folk belief establishments.

The leaders of Vung Tau ward, including comrades: Nguyen Tan Ban, Party Secretary, Chairman of the Ward People's Council; Le Thi Thanh Binh, Permanent Deputy Secretary of the Ward Party Committee; Bui Van Hy, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Chairman of the Ward People's Committee; Vu Dang Khoa, Chairman of the Ward Fatherland Front Committee, met with 120 religious dignitaries and representatives of folk belief establishments in the ward.

The ward leaders listened to the sharing and suggestions of religious dignitaries and representatives of folk belief establishments to build Vung Tau ward to become more and more developed.

Speaking at the meeting, Most Venerable Thich Thien Thong, Deputy Secretary General of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha in Ho Chi Minh City and Abbot of Lien Tri Pagoda, requested the authorities of Vung Tau Ward to support religious establishments and folk beliefs to speed up the procedures for granting Land Use Certificates; granting construction permits to grassroots religious establishments, so that the establishments can be renovated, repaired, and organize stable religious activities.

Some officials suggested that the ward continue to focus on building a cleaner and more beautiful appearance to attract more tourists. At the same time, focus on economic development to create jobs for the people.

Most Venerable Thich Thien Thong, Deputy Secretary General of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha in Ho Chi Minh City, Abbot of Lien Tri Pagoda, requested Vung Tau ward to support religious establishments to speed up the issuance of Land Use Rights Certificates.

Speaking at the meeting, comrade Nguyen Tan Ban, Party Secretary and Chairman of the People's Council of Vung Tau ward affirmed that the meeting demonstrated the responsibility, affection, and companionship of the ward government with religions and folk beliefs.

Vung Tau Ward is home to many religious organizations with nearly 100 pagodas, hermitages, and churches. Comrade Nguyen Tan Ban hopes that religious dignitaries and representatives of folk beliefs will continue to accompany the government, contributing to building Vung Tau Ward to develop strongly in tourism and services; building Vung Tau people to be ethical, civilized, and a livable ward.

Comrade Nguyen Tan Ban assigned the Chairman of the Ward People's Committee to direct departments and units to review religious establishments that are still having problems in implementing land procedures and construction licensing procedures and assign officials and civil servants to accompany and support religious establishments in implementing related administrative procedures.
