At noon on August 30, in the context of storm No. 6 making landfall in the North Central region, Mr. Nguyen Van Huong, Head of Weather Forecasting Department of the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, said that the heavy rain center of storm No. 6 will be concentrated from Thanh Hoa to Quang Tri .

From noon on August 30 to the end of August 31, the area from Thanh Hoa province to the north of Quang Tri province continued to have heavy rain from 150 to 250mm, in some places over 350mm.
According to Mr. Nguyen Van Huong, the total rainfall in this area is estimated at about 400mm, with some places over 600mm.
From the afternoon and night of August 30, the rainy area will expand to the midland and delta regions of the North, lasting until the end of August 31, with total rainfall of 50 to 120mm, some places over 200mm.

Mr. Nguyen Van Huong noted that storm No. 6 moves quickly, so the rain will not last long. “The heavy rain will only last until August 31. From September 1, the rain across the country will tend to decrease,” Mr. Huong shared.
Regarding the weather on the occasion of National Day on September 2, this expert said that Hanoi may have light showers in the morning, but by noon and afternoon the sky will clear up, with a possibility of sunshine. The Central region will also start to be sunny again from noon and afternoon. Particularly in the Southern and Central Highlands regions, the weather will be sunny during the day, but showers and thunderstorms may appear in the afternoon and evening. "In general, the weather across the country on National Day is basically favorable for outdoor activities," Mr. Nguyen Van Huong predicted.

Updated at 1:00 p.m. on August 30 from the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, the center of storm No. 6 is at about 17.9 degrees North latitude - 107 degrees East longitude, in the sea area of Ha Tinh - Hue city, about 65km east of the north of Quang Tri province. The strongest wind speed: level 8 (62-74km/h), gusting to level 10. Forecast in the next 3 hours, the storm will move westward, at a speed of about 25km/h.
