Vividly reenacting the revolutionary historical journey

In mid-August, at Tan Cuong Tea Cultural Space (Tan Cuong commune), hundreds of people, students, and tourists came to visit the exhibition celebrating the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day September 2.

Thematic exhibition " Celebrating the 80th anniversary of the successful August Revolution (August 19, 1945 - August 19, 2025) and the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (September 2, 1945 - September 2, 2025)" organized by Thai Nguyen Provincial Museum in coordination with Ton Duc Thang Museum ( Ho Chi Minh City), with two main themes: "Uncle Ton - The Day of Return" and "Thai Nguyen - 80 years of construction and development".

The special topic "Uncle Ton - The Day of Return" recreates the revolutionary journey of President Ton Duc Thang - an exemplary leader, a staunch communist of the Vietnamese revolution. Precious photos and documents have realistically portrayed the image of Uncle Ton after being released from Con Dao prison, participating in leading the resistance movement in the South, then being sent to the Viet Bac resistance base to join the Party Central Committee and President Ho Chi Minh in consolidating the strength of national unity.

The images and artifacts at the Thematic Exhibition taking place from August 15 to September 15, not only recreate the past but also depict a beautiful and unique image of Uncle Ton, with a heart as vast as the ocean, who, together with President Ho Chi Minh and the Party Central Committee, created the unifying strength of the entire nation.

The theme "Thai Nguyen - 80 years of construction and development" depicts the glorious journey of the gateway land of Viet Bac through each historical photo. From the early days of seizing power (August 20, 1945), establishing the revolutionary government to the years when Thai Nguyen was the Central Security Zone - where Uncle Ho and the Party Central Committee made many important decisions, contributing to the historic victory of Dien Bien Phu in 1954 and the Great Spring Victory in 1975.

The exhibition space honors the outstanding achievements of Thai Nguyen in the period of innovation and integration when the province strives to become the industrial, educational and medical center of the Northern Midlands and Mountains region.

Spread widely to the community

Right from the opening day, the exhibition space attracted a large number of officials, students, local people and tourists. Many students were organized by teachers to visit and listen to explanations about each artifact and document.

Nguyen Quy Nghia, a 9th grader at Tan Cuong Secondary School, shared: I found the exhibition space to have many valuable images and artifacts. I was most impressed with the model of the canoe - the vehicle that brought Uncle Ton and the communist soldiers from the prison in Con Dao back to the mainland. I found it easier to understand and remember the journey of the nation's struggle for independence and to love my homeland Thai Nguyen - a land rich in revolutionary traditions.

Ms. Pham Thi Thu Phuong, a teacher at Tan Cuong Secondary School, affirmed: The vivid images and artifacts here have helped students approach history more easily. Thereby helping them nurture national pride and a sense of responsibility for their homeland and country.

Not only students, but also local people found many emotions when coming to this exhibition space. Mr. Nguyen Van Dung in Soi Vang hamlet, Tan Cuong commune, shared: I find the artifacts in this exhibition space very necessary, helping us understand more clearly the great contributions of generations of fathers and brothers, of Uncle Ton Duc Thang and of the army and people of Thai Nguyen in the two resistance wars. At the same time, we can see more clearly the remarkable progress of Thai Nguyen province in the past 80 years.

Elaborate organization, lasting value

Behind the success of the exhibition are the dedicated hands and creative minds of people who love history and respect tradition. Mr. Ly Duc Chinh, Deputy Director of Thai Nguyen Provincial Museum, shared: We have been nurturing and preparing carefully for many months; have closely coordinated with Ton Duc Thang Museum to select the most typical images and artifacts, ensuring scientific, aesthetic and effective information and message transmission. After the exhibition, these valuable documents and images will continue to be displayed in communes and schools in the province to spread the traditional educational value more widely.

Not only a cultural event, the Thematic Exhibition also has profound political and social significance. The images and artifacts here remind today's generation of the tradition of "When drinking water, remember its source", showing gratitude to the contributions of generations of fathers and brothers who sacrificed for the independence and freedom of the Fatherland. The exhibition also encourages the spirit of solidarity, the desire for development, and the determination to build and firmly protect the Fatherland in the new era.

The thematic exhibition is open to the public and visitors until September 15, 2025. In the open space of Tan Cuong tea region, the Thematic Exhibition has truly become a cultural and historical meeting place for everyone to find pride, emotion and more motivation to join hands in building the homeland and the country.
