The Sports Festival 2025, gathering thousands of athletes, officially took place at NovaWorld Phan Thiet ( Lam Dong province).
On the morning of August 24, the Vietnam People's Public Security Sports Association coordinated with the Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee to organize the " 80-year Journey - For National Security" race at NovaWorld Phan Thiet (Tien Thanh Ward, Lam Dong Province) with the participation of more than 4,000 athletes.
The race is part of the "Sports Festival" series of activities in 2025, with distances including: 5km, 10km, 21km. Athletes start at Bikini Beach Square and run through the roads around NovaWorld Phan Thiet.
Previously, on the evening of August 23, the Sports Festival 2025 opened with emotional performances by young, enthusiastic artists: Dong Hung, Vo Ha Tram, Dong Nhi and Duc Phuc, Phan Hien, Thu Huong, ... bringing about the exchange between generations of artists, connecting contemporary music and traditional spirit. At the opening night, there was also a low-altitude fireworks display.
The “Sports Festival 2025” series of sports events includes six competitions: Compak Sporting flying disc shooting; Professional Kun Khmer kickboxing; The first People's Public Security Golf Tournament; The “80-year journey - For national security” running tournament; Tennis tournament and Southern region Pickleball tournament. This event brings together more than 7,000 athletes and is watched by more than 500,000 spectators, tourists, and fans inside and outside the police force.
Lieutenant General Nguyen Ngoc Toan, Vice President of the Vietnam People's Public Security Sports Association, said that for the first time, the Association coordinated with NovaGroup Joint Stock Company to organize a series of "Sports Festival" activities in 2025. This is a series of practical sports and cultural activities to widely propagate and educate officers, soldiers and people about the glorious tradition of 80 years of building, fighting and growing of the People's Public Security.
In addition, the event also creates closeness, solidarity and companionship between the police force with businesses and the community in taking care of the spiritual life, improving the health of officers, soldiers and people, contributing to encouraging and motivating people of all walks of life to join hands, be unanimous, actively coordinate, support and help the People's Police force to perform well the task of protecting security and order in the new era of development.
