Signing a joint agreement to implement entrusted lending for social policy credit programs

(CT) - On the afternoon of July 18, the Can Tho City Branch of the Bank for Social Policies held a signing ceremony of a joint document on the implementation of entrusted lending to poor households and other policy beneficiaries between the City Branch of the Bank for Social Policies and the city's socio-political organizations: the Women's Union, the Farmers' Association, the Veterans' Association and the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union.

At the ceremony, the City Social Policy Bank Branch and socio-political organizations agreed to sign a joint document on organizing and directing affiliated units to carry out lending trust activities for poor households and other policy beneficiaries. Accordingly, the parties focus on implementing the trust contents on propaganda and mobilization work; inspecting and supervising trust activities; training, coaching and coordinating activities with the Social Policy Bank in developing annual credit plans, monitoring and synchronously implementing solutions to improve the quality of policy credit activities, transaction points, savings and loan groups, etc. At the same time, the document specifies the responsibilities of the city's socio-political organizations, the City Social Policy Bank Branch and the common responsibilities of the parties in implementing social policy credit activities, better serving the borrowing needs of the people.

According to the City Social Policy Bank Branch, by July 10, 2025, the total outstanding loan balance entrusted through 4 socio-political organizations of the city was over 15,634 billion VND belonging to 20 policy credit programs with 7,396 savings and loan groups operating in 103 wards and communes. The total overdue debt was over 212.3 billion VND, accounting for 1.36% of the total outstanding loan balance. Thereby, creating conditions for production and business development, contributing to job creation, increasing income, improving life; at the same time, stabilizing the socio -economic situation, reducing the rate of poor households and unemployed workers, contributing to ensuring social security in the city.
