Hanoi's 2025-2026 school year time plan framework

On August 26, the Hanoi People's Committee issued the 2025-2026 school year time plan framework for preschool education, general education and continuing education in Hanoi.

According to the 2025-2026 school year schedule, Hanoi students will return to school at least 1 week before the opening day. Grades 1, 9, and 12 will return to school at least 2 weeks before the opening day.

The whole city organizes the opening ceremony on September 5, 2025 (Friday); ends the first semester before January 18, 2026; completes the program and ends the school year before May 31, 2026.

Consideration and recognition of completion of primary school program and recognition of graduation from secondary school before June 30, 2026; Complete enrollment of first grade classes before July 31, 2026.
