Urgently handle water leakage through the dike body in Trung Dau area, Binh Phu commune, Phu Ninh district

Due to the rapid rise in the water level of the Lo River, this morning the Lo River dike through Trung Dau area, Binh Phu commune, Phu Ninh district experienced water seepage through the dike body. At first, there were only small veins, then new veins appeared. Phu Ninh district mobilized functional forces to urgently deploy plan 4 on-site to temporarily handle the water leaking through the dike body, ensuring safety for people.

Authorities coordinated with local people to proactively use vehicles to reinforce the dike in Trung Dau area, Binh Phu commune, Phu Ninh district.

Preliminary statistics in 7 communes along the Lo River in Phu Ninh including: Phu My, Le My, Tri Quan, Ha Giap Tien Du, An Dao, Binh Phu have about 5,000 households inside and outside the dike at risk of flooding when the water level of the Lo River rises.

With a proactive, timely and drastic spirit, Phu Ninh district has directly directed the communes, especially the areas at risk of landslides and flooding, to be on duty 24/7. Paying attention to the on-site plan 4, preparing means and human resources to proactively respond and overcome the consequences caused by floods; the police and military forces have strengthened their close ties with the grassroots, mobilizing forces to organize the urgent evacuation of households in dangerous areas to ensure the safety of people's lives.

Currently, Phu Ninh district has organized working groups to go to riverside communes to direct localities to inspect and assign forces to be on duty 24/7, continuously monitor water levels along the Lo River; organize patrols and check dikes, embankments, culverts under the dikes, and areas at risk of landslides to promptly detect and take measures to handle incidents from the first hour.
