Through the report of the People's Committee of Lien Chieu district and other units, and at the same time surveying the actual scene, the Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee requested the relevant departments, branches and sectors to coordinate with local authorities to urgently determine the cause of the landslide, assess the level of impact and propose response solutions before this year's rainy season; assign the Department of Agriculture and Environment to preside over, coordinate with the Department of Construction, Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism to organize geological surveys, develop long-term stabilization plans, and ensure safety for the relic area.

The Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism compiles a current status profile, assesses the risk of impact on the original elements constituting the relic; studies the integration of conservation solutions into the regional development plan, aiming to protect cultural and historical values and restore the coastal ecological environment.

The Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee suggested that, in the immediate future, it is necessary to urgently develop and propose feasible solutions to handle the erosion situation, paying special attention to technical efficiency, investment costs, sustainability and environmental impact. The City agreed to implement temporary solutions to limit negative developments; continue to research and develop long-term solutions that are fundamental and sustainable to fully protect the value of the relic.

“Nam Chon Station relic is not only a rare historical heritage of the city, but also a red address in patrioticeducation , with potential for developing ecological and cultural tourism. Protecting the original state and landscape of the relic is an urgent task, requiring the synchronous and drastic participation of all levels and sectors,” the Vice Chairman of the City People’s Committee emphasized.

Nam Chon Station covers an area of about 14,272m², built in a solid defensive style with two layers of walls, a surrounding moat and four gates opening in four directions. The project was constructed on coastal sandy soil using the technique of stacking stones without mortar, clearly demonstrating the technical level and military strategic thinking of the Nguyen Dynasty.
