From cinema to reality
The Kowloon Walled City Film Studio Exhibition through the lens of cinema officially opened at the end of May and will last for 3 years.
The event marks a major milestone in recreating Hong Kong's urban historical heritage, recreating the Kowloon Walled City with realistically scaled sets.
Accordingly, visitors will have the opportunity to step back into the narrow alleys of the 1980s, immersing themselves in the bustling atmosphere of tailor shops, pharmacies, barber shops and fish ball factories. These are all images that recall the golden age of this unique residential area.

It is known that the exhibition idea was inspired by the resounding success of the movie Kowloon Walled City: Siege released in 2024. With the attraction of nostalgia and unique setting, the exhibition project brings the image of the Walled City back to the place where it once existed: Kowloon Walled City Park.
The exhibition is open to the public free of charge from 9am to 7pm from May to August, and from 9am to 6pm from September onwards.
Experience unique culinary history and culture
Besides exploring the film set, visitors can enjoy many cultural experiences in the surrounding area.
Among them is the Hou Wang Temple - a place to worship a general of the Southern Song Dynasty with ancient architecture and a sacred atmosphere, or the Cattle Depot contemporary art area, which brings together artists and unique creative activities.
Cuisine is also a notable highlight in Kowloon. From Cantonese-style cafes to long-standing family-run eateries, all contribute to creating a vivid picture of local culinary culture.

In particular, visitors can visit Lok Yuen - a cha chaan teng (Hong Kong-style casual eatery) famous for its famous toasted bread. For those who love the taste of Teochew cuisine, Lok Hau Fook restaurant is an ideal destination, featuring signature dishes such as roast goose and chicken dumplings.
Ideal shopping destination

The tour would not be complete without a shopping experience at Little Thailand – a market with a unique Thai flavor, or a visit to two modern shopping centers, AIRSIDE and Kai Tak. This is a place that gathers many exciting entertainment and commercial activities suitable for all ages.
