On the afternoon of April 7, the last day of the Hung Kings' Commemoration Day holiday, the gateway roads leading to the center of Hanoi were crowded.

Recorded at the intersection of Phap Van - Do Muoi street, from National Highway 1B to the center of Hanoi city, the traffic was dense and difficult to move.

Although the sidewalks here are bumpy and difficult to walk on, many people still try to walk on them to "escape" traffic jams.

Mr. Nguyen Hai (from Bac Ninh ) said that the traffic volume to the city center has increased significantly.

"On suburban routes, traveling is quite easy, but the closer to the center, the more crowded the traffic is and the slower it moves," said Mr. Hai.

At the end of the Phap Van - Cau Gie highway, heading towards the city center and onto the elevated Ring Road 3, traffic moved slowly, with a congestion of about 2km.

A representative of Highway Traffic Police Team No. 3 (Traffic Police Department, Ministry of Public Security ) said that the unit has sent officers and soldiers to be on duty at the end of the highway to direct traffic.

According to the representative of the Traffic Police Team, it is expected that the traffic volume at the end of the highway will continue to increase until tonight (April 7).

It was also noted that some vehicles intentionally entered the expressway emergency lane to avoid congestion.

At another gateway to Hanoi city center, the Ngoc Hoi - Giai Phong intersection, the number of motorbikes is dense and continuously increasing in the late afternoon.

People carrying a lot of belongings is also a cause of slow movement and local congestion at intersections.

Traffic Police Team No. 14 (Traffic Police Department, Hanoi City Police) has deployed 100% of its officers and soldiers to perform traffic control and prevent congestion.

At nearly 6 p.m., the number of vehicles from Thuong Tin and Thanh Tri districts... converging on the southern gateway of the capital increased.
