YouTube content creator Ben Eagle, whose real name is Trinh Cong Tuan, has just updated on his personal page that his channel has reached the milestone of 45 million followers and is aiming for YouTube's ruby button, the button that records 50 million followers.
Previously, Ben Eagle was considered the fastest growing channel with the most followers on the platform in the Vietnamese market. However, according to the latest data from Social Blade, a social media statistics and data analysis platform, Ben Eagle only ranked 2nd. The first position belongs to an account named ToRung, with nearly 58 million followers.
Ben Eagle achieved impressive numbers, more than 9 billion views, 20 million followers in just the first 3 years of establishment. A photo taken from the platform a year ago shows that in the Vietnamese market, Ben Eagle is still ranked first, while ToRung channel does not even appear on the chart.

What’s surprising isn’t the top spot, but the fact that almost no one knows about the channel. ToRung has no face, no media presence, and no personal branding strategy like Ben Eagle did.
According to YouTube, ToRung was founded in October 2017. The channel has been posting long-form content for the past 5 years, and switched to short clips (Shorts) for about 2 years now. One theory is that the channel moved overseas before reaching a high number of views and followers, then moved back to Vietnam.
The channel operates in the style of an “in-house studio”. Instead of focusing on personal content, ToRung produces a series of short videos with a quick, easy-to-spread entertainment formula. However, the content in the clips can be seen to be aimed at young children, while the content has no value, which can affect the development of children. The number of interactions such as likes and comments is also quite different from the number of followers. The page's comments are almost entirely from foreigners, showing that the main audience is not domestic.

Users can change their location settings in YouTube Studio, under Basic Info. YouTube also confirmed that this factor primarily affects local restrictions, such as taxes, payment methods, or other regional features, and does not directly control the recommendation algorithm.
With nearly 58 million followers and more than 37 billion views, ToRung channel has owned YouTube's ruby button (condition 50 million followers). This is the first YouTube channel in Vietnam to do this.
In addition, ToRung continues to grow rapidly. ToRung is rated A+, ranking 94th globally in all content industries. Over the past month, the channel has increased by about 0.87% (500,000) new followers and 3.9% (1.4 billion) new views, according to Social Blade.
ToRung ranks 60th in subscribers and 68th in views globally. The channel ranks first for both factors in Vietnam. However, on personal pages, the account owner has not shared or celebrated this memorable milestone.
