Rashford's plan failed

The English striker could return to Manchester United to train if he cannot find a new destination in this summer transfer window.

According to ESPN , up to now, the "Red Devils" have not received any official offer for Rashford. This striker still has a contract with MU until 2028 and is expected to return to Carrington in July to join the team in pre-season training.

According to Mundo Deportivo , the 1997-born star expressed his desire to play for Barcelona if he leaves MU. He is even willing to take a deep cut in his current salary (£350,000/week) to fit Barca's financial structure, as the team is still struggling with strict regulations from La Liga.

However, the deal almost fell through when Barcelona were about to complete the signing of Nico Williams from Athletic Bilbao. The Spanish midfielder will combine with Raphinha and Lamine Yamal, creating an attack that Barcelona will be looking forward to next season.

According to The Sun , coach Ruben Amorim is considering leaving Rashford, Antony, Alejandro Garnacho and Jadon Sancho out of the summer tour in the US. The Portuguese coach hopes to liquidate this group of players to invest in other contracts.

Rashford shone in the second half of last season on loan at Aston Villa, scoring four goals in 17 appearances. Aston Villa had wanted to buy Rashford permanently, but missing out on Champions League qualification in the final round of the Premier League forced the club to abandon the deal due to financial constraints.
