Highlights Jannik Sinner 3-0 Vit Kopriva:

The world No. 1 had to withdraw from the Cincinnati Open final due to illness, admitting that he was not in the best shape. However, if this was just “90% of his form”, then this overwhelming performance further confirmed his superior position.

Against the world No. 89 opponent, Sinner started strongly, leading 4-0 in the first set, leaving most of the late-arriving audience only able to witness a one-sided match. His accurate backhands repeatedly left Kopriva helpless, although his first serve success rate of only 59% was still a small limitation.

Kopriva also managed to leave his mark with a few spectacular saves, especially a delicate drop shot that helped him save four set points, but he still fell after 98 minutes.

Despite being suspended for testing positive for banned substances earlier this year, Sinner now shows the mettle of a champion with 4 Grand Slam titles.

Bigger challenges lie ahead, but with his current confidence, it's hard to believe he'll stop anytime soon in his quest to defend his US Open crown.
