(Dan Tri) - Striker Jadon Sancho left Man Utd on the last day of the transfer window (September 2) to join Aston Villa on a one-season loan deal.

The England striker is one of the stars who is no longer part of coach Ruben Amorim's squad rebuilding plan, as he was left out of the starting lineup for all four of Man Utd's opening matches in all competitions this season.

Fortunately, the 25-year-old striker found a new destination on the last day of the summer transfer window for the second consecutive time.

Chelsea have successfully loaned the England international, who made 23 appearances for his country last season. In 41 appearances for the Blues, he has contributed 15 goals in all competitions. He even scored in the UEFA Conference League final victory over Real Betis.

But in the end, the west London club decided not to make his temporary deal permanent, agreeing to pay Man Utd £5m after the loan expired.

However, Jadon Sancho has followed in the footsteps of Marcus Rashford, who was also loaned to Aston Villa by Man Utd in the winter transfer window earlier this year.

According to British media, Aston Villa have agreed to pay at least 80% of Jadon Sancho's salary during his time at Villa Park.

Sancho has been loaned out three times since joining Man Utd in 2021 for £73m, after returning to Borussia Dortmund for the second half of the 2023-24 season.
