2023 has been over a year, but there are still cars produced at this time in inventory at dealers. The Isuzu D-Max pickup truck is one of them. To clear inventory, dealers of course have to launch deep discount programs. Accordingly, a dealer in the Hanoi area is currently selling the Isuzu D-Max Prestige 4x2 AT version manufactured in 2023 for only 580 million VND. Compared to the listed price of 680 million VND of the Isuzu D-Max Prestige 4x2 AT 2023, the car is 100 million VND cheaper.
It should also be added that the Isuzu D-Max in Vietnam was updated with an upgraded version in October 2024. Compared to the 2025 Isuzu D-Max Prestige 4x2 AT currently sold in Vietnam, the cars at the above dealership are 90 million VND cheaper. In addition to the fact that this is an old car, there is another reason why the Isuzu D-Max Prestige 4x2 AT 2023 is so cheap, which is because this dealer is preparing to close down and needs to "sell off" to recover capital quickly. The dealer said that the number of cars being liquidated at such a cheap price is 3.
With a selling price of only 580 million VND, the old Isuzu D-Max Prestige 4x2 AT is currently the cheapest in the pickup truck segment in the Vietnamese market. Compared to the new D-Max, the car has a more outdated design and will lose more value when resold. However, those who want to buy a cheap car for long-term use and do not care too much about appearance should not miss this opportunity. In the old version, the Isuzu D-Max Prestige 4x2 AT had notable equipment such as Bi-LED headlights, LED daytime running lights, mechanically adjusted fabric seats, plastic steering wheel, manual air conditioning, 7-inch central touch screen, 4-speaker sound system and 2 airbags. In addition to the fairly basic equipment, this pickup truck line also has an unattractive design. This is part of the reason why this Japanese pickup truck line is not popular in the Vietnamese market.
Under the hood of the old Isuzu D-Max Prestige 4x2 AT is still the same 1.9L 4-cylinder diesel engine as the new car. This engine produces a maximum capacity of 148 horsepower and 350 Nm of torque. The engine is combined with a 6-speed automatic transmission and rear-wheel drive. Video : Comparison of Isuzu D-MAX and Ford Ranger in Vietnam.
