Military forces quickly coordinated with local people to reinforce the dike.

Specifically, working group No. 1 led by Colonel Bui Dinh Quyen, Deputy Commander of the City Military Command, headed towards Huong Thuy Town.

Here, the delegation received information that a 20m long section of the dike had broken, flooding more than 600 hectares of newly sown summer-autumn rice in Thuy Phu commune. Colonel Bui Dinh Quyen directed the town's Military Command to dispatch a militia force of 20 officers and soldiers to quickly coordinate with local forces using excavators, boats, sacks of soil, tarpaulins... to reinforce the dike.

Working group No. 2 led by Lieutenant Colonel Ho Dac Quoc, Deputy Commander of the City Military Command, went to the low-lying areas of Quang Dien district to survey and assess the damage caused by floods in order to have a support plan.

According to the City Military Command, in the face of the complicated storm and flood situation, the unit has directed the armed forces of the entire city with the motto "4 on-site" to prevent and overcome the consequences of floods. The City Military Command is ready to send 200 troops along with vehicles and materials to support necessary cases. If any locality needs support, it will mobilize to help immediately.

On the morning of June 13, the broken dike was repaired.

Previously, on the afternoon of June 12, the Military Command of Huong Thuy Town mobilized dozens of officers and soldiers of the militia force to help Thuy Phu Agricultural Cooperative to lift and move assets to avoid the risk of flooding.

The City Military Command directed agencies and units to continue to closely monitor weather developments; strictly maintain on-duty shifts, develop plans and strategies, and prepare forces and means to respond when situations arise.
