More than 9,100 candidates enter the 2025 high school graduation exam

Along with more than 1.1 million candidates nationwide, this morning, June 26, more than 9,100 candidates entered the 2025 high school graduation exam. This is a special exam because it is organized for two groups of candidates studying two different high school programs and takes place at the peak of administrative unit arrangement.

Right before the exam, Director of the Department of Education and Training Le Thi Huong and members of the Steering Committee for the 2025 High School Graduation Exam inspected the exam work at the exam sites of Le Quy Don High School for the Gifted and Dong Ha High School. Highly appreciating the careful preparation of facilities and equipment at these exam sites, Director of the Department of Education and Training Le Thi Huong requested that the officers and teachers assigned as heads, deputy heads and secretaries of the exam sites must promote the highest sense of responsibility, have a firm grasp of the exam organization regulations. Organize well the dissemination of regulations and exam invigilation procedures to the invigilators and the forces on duty at the exam sites.

Requesting examination sites across the province to resolutely organize the examination to ensure safety, in accordance with the established rules and regulations; instructing candidates to strictly follow the examination rules and regulations, avoiding unfortunate violations. At the same time, the Director of the Department of Education and Training also sent best wishes to the candidates, to stay calm and confident to conquer this year's important exam.

The 2025 high school graduation exam will take place over 2 days, June 26-27. Candidates taking the 2018 general education program will only take 3 sessions with 4 subjects, including: compulsory Math, Literature and 2 elective subjects. Candidates taking the 2006 general education program will take 4 sessions with 6 subjects, including: Math, Literature, Foreign Language, natural science test or social science test.

There are a total of 27 testing sites with 401 official testing rooms. The Department of Education and Training has mobilized 1,500 teachers to invigilate the tests, 220 service staff, 200 security guards, 60 medical staff and arranged an additional 200 teachers for backup. Previously, on the afternoon of June 25, candidates were present at 27 testing sites to check their registration numbers, test rooms, listen to the dissemination of testing regulations and correct any incorrect information (if any).

This morning, at exactly 7:35, candidates began taking the Literature exam, opening the exam with a time limit of 120 minutes; in the afternoon, the Math exam, with a time limit of 90 minutes. To prepare for the first exam, many parents brought their children to the exam sites very early. According to the records, the weather was quite cool and pleasant, creating a comfortable feeling for candidates taking the exam in the first exam session. In order for the exam to take place safely and seriously, the Department of Education and Training has directed high schools and middle schools, which were selected as exam sites, to fully prepare facilities, equipment, means, and plans to ensure security, order, and safety at the exam site.

Relevant departments, agencies and sectors have fully deployed forces inside and outside the exam area to protect exam papers and test papers 24/7, maintain security and order during the exam sessions; strengthen traffic flow at exam sites; prepare means of transporting exam papers and test papers, and serve exam invigilators. Local authorities have promoted their sense of responsibility to the fullest, reviewed work, deployed forces at exam sites in the area, and focused on the best conditions to ensure the exam.

The health sector focuses on ensuring food safety and hygiene, and taking care of the health of officials, teachers, and candidates. The Youth Union has also assigned volunteer teams to support and assist candidates at the exam sites.

Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Youth Union Pham Xuan Khanh said that in order to help candidates confidently participate in the 2025 High School Graduation Exam, from June 26 to 27, the Quang Tri Provincial Youth Union deployed the program "Supporting the exam season" with 27 volunteer teams supporting at exam sites in 9 districts, towns and cities with more than 1,000 volunteers participating; focusing on supporting at exam sites in remote areas.

The exam support teams will support candidates with exam procedures, breakfast, lunch, drinking water, tools, and learning equipment; free lunch breaks, cheap accommodations for candidates and their families; free pick-up and drop-off for candidates in especially difficult circumstances; and cheer and encourage candidates. On June 26, the Provincial Youth Union organized 3 delegations to visit and encourage exam support teams in 9 districts, towns, and cities.

Quick information from the Department of Education and Training of Quang Tri province said that this year, there are 4 independent candidates over 30 years old taking the high school graduation exam at the Quang Tri College of Education Inter-level Examination Site. Of these, 3 candidates are ethnic minorities.
