More than 237 billion VND to support cadres, civil servants and public employees working far away after the province merger

At the 2nd Session of the People's Council of Vinh Long province, term X, 2021-2026, the Provincial People's Council unanimously passed a resolution on support policies for cadres, civil servants, public employees, and workers (CB.CC-VC, NLĐ) from Ben Tre province and Tra Vinh province (before the merger) to work in Vinh Long province.

At the 2nd Session of the People's Council of Vinh Long province, term X, 2021-2026, the Provincial People's Council unanimously passed a resolution on support policies for cadres, civil servants, public employees, and workers (CB.CC-VC, NLĐ) from Ben Tre province and Tra Vinh province (before the merger) to work in Vinh Long province.

Accordingly, civil servants, public employees, and employees working at Party, State, Fatherland Front, socio-political organizations, and mass organizations assigned by the Party and State, and public service units from Ben Tre province and Tra Vinh province (before the merger) to work in Vinh Long province after the arrangement, will be supported with travel expenses, housing rental, and living expenses at a support level of 4 million VND/person/month.

The support policy in this resolution is paid monthly to beneficiaries along with the salary payment period. The support period is 24 months, from August 1, 2025 to July 31, 2027. It is estimated that the number of civil servants, public employees, and employees supported is 2,473 people. The support cost is over VND 118 billion/year. Thus, 2 years is over VND 237 billion.

After merging the three provinces of Ben Tre, Tra Vinh and Vinh Long into Vinh Long province (new), the administrative center is located in Vinh Long province, because the distance from Ben Tre and Tra Vinh provinces (old) to Vinh Long Provincial Administrative Center is quite far, greatly affecting the travel, time, health and essential living conditions of civil servants, public employees, and employees who are mobilized and arranged by competent authorities to work in Vinh Long province after the arrangement.

Based on that reality, the development and promulgation of a resolution on this support policy is extremely necessary, in order to provide partial material support, helping the staff, civil servants, and employees reduce difficulties and feel secure in their work.
