Tourism revenue in the first 10 months of 2024 is estimated at VND 50.3 trillion, accounting for 0.9% of total retail sales of goods and consumer services revenue, and increasing by 14.2% over the same period last year. Tourism revenue in the first 10 months of 2024 of some localities is as follows: Can Tho increased by 31.2%; Ho Chi Minh City increased by 15.9%; Khanh Hoa increased by 15.4%; Binh Dinh increased by 11.9%; Hanoi increased by 9.8%; Da Nang increased by 6.1%.

The representative of the General Statistics Office said that favorable visa policies, enhanced tourism promotion programs, and prestigious tourism awards presented by international organizations have attracted an increasing number of international visitors to Vietnam.

Regarding the target of Vietnam welcoming 17-18 million international visitors in 2024, the representative of the General Statistics Office said that to achieve the target of welcoming 17 million international visitors, in the last 3 months of 2024, it is necessary to reach nearly 4.3 million visitors, an average of more than 1.43 million visitors/month. Because the fourth quarter of each year is the peak season for international tourists, the target of welcoming 17 million international visitors to Vietnam is feasible, under the condition that the world and domestic situation does not have any adverse changes.
