While waiting for the construction of a house to store ashes to serve the relocation project of Binh Hung Hoa Cemetery (Binh Tan District, Ho Chi Minh City), the ashes will be kept at the cemetery management office.

After 2 days of clearing, cleaning, and spraying water to soften the soil, today, February 24, Binh Tan district officially launched phase 1 of grave excavation at Binh Hung Hoa Cemetery.

In this first mass exhumation, 1,836 graves will be relocated.

Specifically, for 1,773 graves without declared relatives, Binh Tan district will conduct centralized grave exhumation within 30 days, from February 24 to March 21.

The list, specific information of graves and detailed exhumation time for each cemetery are posted on the project website: www.duandidoinghiatrangbhh.vn and Binh Tan district website: https://binhtan.hochiminhcity.gov.vn.

For the 63 registered graves, Binh Tan District requests relatives to contact the District Compensation and Site Clearance Board (address: 380 Kinh Duong Vuong, An Lac A Ward, Binh Tan District) to carry out grave exhumation and relocation from now until May 31.

After the above time, if the relatives have not done so, the authorities will proceed to exhume the grave in June 2024. The project investor is the Compensation and Site Clearance Board of Binh Tan District.

The centralized exhumation was carried out under the supervision of the Ho Chi Minh City Center for Disease Control (HCDC), Binh Tan District Medical Center, and the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committees of Binh Hung Hoa and Binh Hung Hoa A wards.

While waiting for the construction of the ash storage house to serve the relocation project of Binh Hung Hoa Cemetery, Binh Tan District will store the ashes at the cemetery management office. This place is taken care of solemnly, with management software to serve the storage and close monitoring.

Binh Tan District will transfer the ashes to the storage house when the ash storage house construction project is completed and put into use.
