Academy of Traditional Medicine awarded diplomas to 775 new doctors and pharmacists

This morning (August 21), 775 new doctors and pharmacists received their 2025 graduation certificates from the Vietnam Academy of Traditional Medicine.

Of these, 194 students graduated from the Faculty of Medicine; 404 from the Faculty of Traditional Medicine; 177 from the Faculty of Pharmacy. In the entire course, 25 students achieved excellent results in their studies and training.

Sending congratulations to the new doctors and pharmacists, Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Quoc Huy, Director of the Vietnam Academy of Traditional Medicine, shared the difficulties and hardships of the past 6 years with the new doctors and the past 5 years with the new pharmacists.

According to Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen Quoc Huy, today's graduating students face difficulties and challenges, and together with the academy, successfully overcome the unprecedented COVID-19 and post-COVID-19 pandemic period.

In his message to students, Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Quoc Huy said that Medicine is a noble and difficult profession, requiring extensive study, deep knowledge, inheriting the knowledge heritage of famous doctors before, updating new medical knowledge of humanity and knowing how to apply and creatively apply it in practice.

"What you have today is just the initial luggage for you to contribute to the community and society. For new doctors and pharmacists, there is also an important stage of pre-professional practice to be able to practice according to regulations," Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Quoc Huy emphasized.

According to the Director of the Vietnam Academy of Traditional Medicine, the school is preparing to build question banks so that the school's new doctors can practice for the exam, when they will have to take the national professional competency assessment exam from January 2027.

"As a member of the National Medical Council, I and the academy pledge to do our best to prepare you and our students to pass this important exam, even after you have graduated," Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen Quoc Huy said, and advised the new doctors and pharmacists to continue to be brave and enthusiastic to seize every opportunity and take control of their lives.
