Hanoi Hoang Duc shined with two headers to help Viettel defeat Binh Dinh 2-1 in round 8 of V-League 2022.

In the 60th minute, Viettel counterattacked and Danh Trung was fouled, but Tien Anh still managed to get the ball and sprint into the penalty area. With no one to mark him, Hoang Duc headed the ball dangerously, giving Dang Van Lam no chance to block it.
In the second minute of injury time, Hoang Duc once again chose the right spot from Huu Thang's corner kick to shake his head. This time, Van Lam jumped to block, but the ball continued to hit Pham Van Thanh and rolled back into the net, leaving Adriano Schmidt helpless.
Hoang Duc's brilliance overshadowed the goal of substitute Ha Duc Chinh in the 84th minute. Van Thanh crossed early from the right wing for Duc Chinh to head in from close range. Goalkeeper Van Phong dove to block the ball, hitting the post, allowing Duc Chinh to run in and score.
This is Duc Chinh's first goal in two years. The last goal was on May 2, 2021 when he played for Da Nang and also lost 1-2 to Viettel. The striker born in 1997 almost completed his double in the 88th minute if his volley from the edge of the box had not gone wide of the post.
Winning 2-1, Viettel ended a four-match winless streak and was also the first team to win in round 8 of the 2022 V-League. Viettel rose to sixth place with 11 points, equal to Hanoi Police but played one more match.
In round 9, Viettel will visit Thanh Hoa on May 28, while Binh Dinh will return to Quy Nhon to welcome Nam Dinh.
