On June 8, 772 candidates taking the 10th grade entrance exam at Bien Hoa High School for the Gifted completed the specialized exams.

In the morning, at exactly 8:00 a.m., 451 candidates registered for the specialized classes: Math, Literature, Physics, Chemistry, and Information Technology officially took the exam. By 10:30 a.m., after 150 minutes of taking the exam, the candidates had completed the specialized subjects of Math, Literature, Physics, Chemistry, and Information Technology.

In general, the specialized subject exams are assessed to have a high level of classification. In particular, the Math exam is relatively "hard". Mr. Hoang Xuan Binh, a Math teacher at Bien Hoa High School for the Gifted, said: The exam has a few new points compared to previous years due to the content of the 2018 General Education Program. The structure of the exam consists of 6 questions, question 1 includes 2 ideas, idea 1 calculates the value of the expression, idea 2 calculates the value of the polynomial; question 2 has a practical math part and solves irrational equations; question 3 has a part about parabolas, it is difficult for students to complete this question, this is also a question to classify candidates; question 4 is also a difficult question, most candidates without good knowledge will find it difficult to do; question 5 is a geometry question, most candidates will complete idea 1, ideas 2 and 3 require higher capacity and level. The statistical probability problem is included in idea 1 of question 6, idea 2 is an arithmetic question. With the second part about arithmetic of this question, many candidates said they could not do it. This year's math test is different from previous ones in that it does not include problems about inequalities.

For the Physics exam, the basic structure of the exam is kept the same as every year. The exam consists of 5 questions, each with many ideas. Question 5 is the new knowledge content of the 2018 General Education Program, requiring candidates to have a solid and in-depth knowledge foundation to complete it. The 4 questions above are all a mixture of easy and difficult, new and old knowledge.

Most of the candidates for the Physics exam commented that the exam was long, with difficult questions that most of the candidates could not do, or could do but were not sure. Teacher Do Hong Lien, Physics teacher at Bien Hoa High School for the Gifted, said: The exam was a bit long, many students said they did not have enough time to complete the 5th question. The knowledge for this question is part of the 9th grade curriculum.

The candidates taking the History exam were very confident about their work.

In Chemistry, compared to previous years, there are clear changes. The content focuses on more practical problems. The questions classify students; if they have a firm grasp of basic and theoretical knowledge, they will do well on the questions. Good students can get a score of 5; not many candidates can get a score of 10.

For the Literature subject, the questions are not too difficult, but require candidates to have talent, understanding of literature and art, and a good knowledge base to hope to achieve high scores. The essay question requires candidates to clarify the statement of literary critic Phuong Luu: "The ideological content of a literary work is never just an indifferent, cold explanation, but is associated with intense emotions". Le Ngoc Linh, a candidate taking the Literature exam, shared: I tried very hard to complete the exam with the hope of getting a high score. The essay exam discusses the issue of literature, which is a field that is not unfamiliar to students taking the Literature exam. Through research, study, reading and understanding... I have good materials to include in my essay.

In the afternoon, candidates who registered for the specialized subjects of Biology, History, Geography, English and Russian started taking the exam at 2:30 p.m. After 150 minutes, the first candidates to leave the exam room were those taking the specialized English exam. They were all very excited and confident. The exam was not too difficult, but getting a score of 10 is certainly not easy. I hope I will get a score of 9 - said a male student.

In History, candidate Nguyen Minh Vu, Tran Phu Secondary School, could not hide his joy: I did all the questions in the exam. This is a specialized exam that is not too difficult. I hope this will be the highest score in my 10th grade entrance exam this year.

In Geography, candidate Bui Thu Trang said that the structure of the test was not strange to the types of questions that had been reviewed. As long as you have basic knowledge and study the program in the textbook carefully, you will do well on this test.

According to the assessment, the content of the questions in the exam includes both the 8th and 9th grade programs. The type of exercises is not difficult, the questions do not "twist" students like in previous years. The 2018 General Education Program is included in some questions about exploiting the cultural heritage of the Central Highlands, recent trends in crop growth, and the issue of population in the industrialization process. Previously, the questions required students to memorize more. But in this exam, with the content of the 2018 General Education Program, it requires candidates to analyze, think more, and have a specific direction.

However, the Biology exam was a bit long. Some candidates who finished the exam said that the exam structure was very close and practical to the students' review content. Student Nguyen Minh Tho said: Although the exam was long, I finished all the questions. Overall, I found the exam not difficult, and I am likely to get a good score or higher. However, many candidates said that with 150 minutes, they could not complete all the questions.

According to the report from the Examination Council of Bien Hoa High School for the Gifted, the exam day for specialized subjects ended safely and seriously. All stages of the exam organization ensured the requirements of the Organizing Committee of the entrance exam for grade 10 of Ha Nam province's public high schools for the 2025-2026 school year. At the Examination Council, there were 2 candidates who had traffic accidents before the exam day, but still participated in the exam with a proactive and confident attitude. These cases were arranged with the best conditions for them to take the exam comfortably, safely and effectively.
