UNESCO Hanoi Association contributes to promoting the cultural values of the Capital

According to the report at the Conference, in the first 6 months of the year, the Hanoi UNESCO Association seriously implemented the policies of the Central Government, the City as well as the direction of the Hanoi Union of Friendship Organizations in people-to-people diplomacy.

In general, the Association's activities have contributed to linking activities with the culture and sports sector in managing, preserving and promoting the cultural heritage values of the capital. Specifically, the Association coordinated with the People's Committee of Hoan Kiem District to organize a survey program and build a heritage tourism route in Hanoi, continuing to maintain a close relationship with the Vietnam Federation of UNESCO Associations.

The units of the Association are also always proactive and active in organizing activities to serve political tasks at all levels on the occasion of major holidays, introducing intangible cultural heritages to the public, people, domestic and foreign tourists at some important events, and carrying out many social and charitable activities to help policy beneficiaries.

In the direction of activities for the next 6 months, the Hanoi UNESCO Association will continue to implement the tasks approved by the Executive Committee, seriously implement the direction of the Hanoi Union of Friendship Organizations and related agencies, strengthen the organization and activities of units, admit new members, research and establish more units in the school sector, scientific research sector, etc.

Continue to maintain and improve the quality of traditional activities, strengthen cooperation on cultural heritage, literature and art with embassies and international organizations, promote creative activities, build a favorable environment, connect and promote the role of collectives and individuals in the fields of cultural, scientific and educational development.

In addition, the Association also focuses on implementing and organizing activities within the framework of the plan to celebrate the 30th anniversary of its founding (December 15, 1994 - December 15, 2024) to promote the image, people, cultural heritage, and traditional arts of Hanoi and Vietnam to the public and people, thereby contributing to promoting the people's foreign affairs of the capital Hanoi, strengthening cooperation with embassies, international organizations, and friendship associations in the city...

Speaking at the Conference, Permanent Vice President of the Hanoi Union of Friendship Organizations Tran Thi Phuong highly appreciated the achievements and positive activities of the Association in the past 6 months, as well as the direction of activities for the last 6 months of 2024.

Ms. Tran Thi Phuong also hopes that the association will continue to promote its spirit and responsibility in the coming time, hoping that the units under the association will actively contribute to the successful implementation of activities celebrating the 30th anniversary of its establishment, contributing further to promoting the image and cultural values of Hanoi to domestic and foreign friends and enhancing the foreign affairs of the Capital's people.
