Two candidates from Da Lat had a traffic accident right before the exam: 'I got 7.5 points on the test!'

Despite being involved in a traffic accident right before the exam, two candidates endured the pain and completed the 2025 high school graduation exam, with tears and determination.

On the morning of June 27, at the exam site of Thang Long High School for the Gifted, Da Lat City, two candidates had a traffic accident right before the exam but still endured the pain to go to the exam room and completed the 2025 high school graduation exam in tears and gratitude.

According to records, at around 6:45 a.m., the task force at the exam site discovered two 12th grade students from Hermann Gmeiner Da Lat High School - Ho Nguyen Thien Vu and Nguyen Thi Thanh Thao - involved in a traffic accident not far from the exam site. The motorbike driven by Vu suddenly collided, causing Vu to be injured in the left leg and head area, while Thao suffered scratches on her leg.

Immediately, the working group at the exam site, especially Traffic Police Team No. 1 - Traffic Police Department of Lam Dong Provincial Police - supported Vu to take him to Lam Dong General Hospital for first aid. After being bandaged and temporarily immobilized, Vu was brought back to the exam site with accompanying medical support to be on time for the combined exam - one of the last two subjects.

Despite the pain, contestant Ho Nguyen Thien Vu shared after the exam: "I'm still in pain but I tried my best. I expected to get about 7 - 7.5 points on the test." Meanwhile, Nguyen Thi Thanh Thao, with red eyes and emotion, said: "When I had the accident, I was very panicked, afraid that I wouldn't be able to take the test in time. But thanks to the encouragement of teachers and exam supervisors, I calmed down and completed the test."

After the exam, teachers from Hermann Gmeiner School and relatives took Thien Vu back to Lam Dong General Hospital for further treatment.

The incident not only moved many officials at the exam site but also spread the spirit of striving and never giving up among the candidates. "Today I learned a great lesson - no matter how difficult it is, as long as you try, there will always be someone there to help," said Thao.
