Hai Phong to host the 2025 National Youth Badminton Championship

(PLVN) - On the evening of June 9, at the Vietnam Maritime University Gymnasium, the opening ceremony of the 2025 National Youth Badminton Championship officially took place, attracting the attention of experts and fans across the country.

The tournament was organized by the Department of Sports and Physical Training, Vietnam Badminton Federation in collaboration with the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Hai Phong City. With the participation of nearly 200 young athletes from 24 provinces, cities and industries nationwide, the tournament is considered a large playground to discover, select and nurture outstanding young talents for the national Badminton team in the future.

Ms. Tran Thi Hoang Mai - Director of Hai Phong Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism delivered the opening speech.

Speaking at the ceremony, Ms. Tran Thi Hoang Mai - Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Hai Phong affirmed: "Hosting the National Youth Badminton Championship 2025 is an honor and at the same time a responsibility of Hai Phong city. We are committed to closely coordinating with relevant units to ensure the organization of the tournament is successful, safe, fair and in accordance with the regulations.

This is an opportunity for young athletes to compete, learn and promote the noble spirit of sportsmanship, thereby creating a solid foundation for the country's high-performance sports career."

This year's tournament takes place from June 8 to 15, 2025, with two main events: Mixed Team and Individual events (men's singles, women's singles, men's doubles, women's doubles, mixed doubles). The matches promise to bring quality performances, demonstrating the skills, courage and desire to win of young athletes.

The venue – Vietnam Maritime University Gymnasium, has been carefully prepared with modern facilities, ensuring professional and safety criteria for competition. Along with that, logistics, communication, and medical work have also been deployed synchronously, demonstrating the professionalism in the organization of the host city.

The 2025 National Youth Badminton Championship is not only a meaningful professional sport activity but also contributes to promoting the sports movement among young people, enhancing the spirit of solidarity, exchange and learning between localities. With a spirit of exciting, honest and noble competition, the tournament promises to leave many professional marks, while spreading positive messages about sports in the community.
