Hanoi will adjust the time to organize the 10th grade entrance exam

The entrance exam for grade 10 of public high schools for the 2026-2027 school year in Hanoi is expected to take place at the end of June 2026, instead of early June as in previous years.

The Hanoi Department of Education and Training (DET) said that it will advise Hanoi City to organize the 10th grade entrance exam for the 2026-2027 school year at the end of June 2026, instead of early June as in previous years.

Hanoi 's public 10th grade entrance exam is scheduled to take place at the end of June.

Accordingly, the 10th grade entrance exam for the 2026-2027 school year in Hanoi will take place after the 2026 high school graduation exam.

In the coming time, the Hanoi Department of Education and Training will research and calculate more carefully and in detail to advise the City People's Committee to issue a specific, suitable and convenient plan for students.

Previously, the Ministry of Education and Training issued a time frame for the 2025-2026 school year. Accordingly, the 2026 High School Graduation Exam is scheduled to take place on June 11 and 12, 2026, 2 weeks earlier than in 2025 when the exam was held on June 26-27.

Meanwhile, June 11-12 every year is usually the time when localities organize the 10th grade entrance exam for public high schools.

Thus, with the high school graduation exam schedule being pushed forward, the 10th grade exam schedule in provinces and cities across the country will have to be adjusted to avoid overlap in exam organization, creating convenience in review for both 9th and 12th grade students.
