Therefore, with the spirit of innovation and responsibility, many individuals and groups have applied scientific and technical advances and invested systematically from production to product consumption.

Products made from the heart of the producer

In 2019, Ms. Doan Thi Thanh Hien's family in Tham Thau village, Luong Bang commune (Cho Don) invested in machinery to produce ham and sausage. To build credibility with customers, she pays special attention to food hygiene and safety. The ingredients have clear origins, are carefully selected and processed, then ground, seasoned, wrapped in banana leaves and then steamed and boiled. Thanks to the meticulousness in selecting clean ingredients, not using borax and preservatives, Ms. Hien's family's ham and sausage are increasingly trusted by many customers.

In 2022, with the support of the local government and Farmers' Association, the family's ham and sausage products were assessed as OCOP and achieved 3-star provincial certification. Safe production and branded products have led to growing business, with the family earning nearly 300 million VND each year after deducting expenses. Ms. Hien was awarded a Certificate of Merit by the People's Committee of Bac Kan province for her achievements in safe agricultural production and business in the 2022-2025 period.

Producing vermicelli from local cassava tubers

Born in the Kunming vermicelli craft village, Ms. Hoang Thi Tham confidently started a business and built the Tham Luong vermicelli brand in her husband's hometown in Van Lang commune (Na Ri).

Starting to produce cellophane noodles on a household scale in 2018, in 2020, Ms. Tham established Tham Luong Cooperative with 07 members. The cooperative gradually improved the process, invested in machinery, but still ensured to preserve the traditional flavor. At the end of 2020, Tham Luong cellophane noodles met the provincial 3-star OCOP standard and were consumed nationwide.

Ms. Hoang Thi Tham, Director of Tham Luong Cooperative, shared: We always believe that doing this job is not only to make a living but also to keep our reputation. The product that reaches consumers is not only vermicelli, but also the dedication of traditional vermicelli makers.

From the Project to support infrastructure of cooperatives according to the Resolution of the Provincial People's Council, in 2024, the cooperative will be supported to build a factory, warehouse, and drying house on an area of ​​700m2. In 2022, the cooperative will produce 60 tons of vermicelli, earning more than 600 million VND; in 2024, it will reach 90 tons, earning more than 900 million VND. It is expected that in 2025, the output will reach over 95 tons.

Thanks to its efforts in production and business, Tham Luong Cooperative received a Certificate of Merit from the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee for its outstanding achievements in studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and lifestyle, period 2016-2020; Certificate of Merit for its outstanding achievements in production and trading of safe agricultural products and food, period 2022-2025.

Enhance the value of Bao Thai rice grains

Ms. Ly Thi Nien, Director of Quynh Nien Pho Cooperative, Na Phac town (Ngan Son) shared: "The Cooperative always strictly adheres to food hygiene and safety standards, orienting development according to traditional and modern methods, taking quality as the foundation and brand as the driving force".

The cooperative has invested over 1.2 billion VND to build a factory and buy modern machinery to improve productivity and product quality. Closely linking processing and raw material areas, the cooperative has provided organic fertilizers and herbal pesticides to rice-growing members, and purchased rice at a stable price of 14,000 VND/kg. On average, each month, the cooperative purchases about 5 tons of Bao Thai rice to serve the production of vermicelli and pho.

In 2019, the two products of dry vermicelli and dry pho of the cooperative were recognized as 3-star OCOP at the provincial level. In 2020, the dry pho product was contracted by Big C supermarket. Quynh Nien Vermicelli and Pho Cooperative creates stable jobs for many local workers with an average income of 5-7 million VND/person/month. The cooperative's revenue in 2022 reached 1.7 billion VND, expected to reach 2 billion VND in 2025.
