Google accuses Apple of copying Android features on iPhone

Apple has introduced iOS 26 with Liquid Glass design and many new features such as live message translation, call filtering and call waiting assistant. However, these new features are not new to Pixel users, as they have appeared on Google phones for 5 to 7 years.

This time Google is straight up, listing iPhone features that Apple copied from its Android operating system. It's even more sarcastic when Google includes these in its Pixel smartphone ads.

When the iPhone announced its live translation feature for text messages, the Pixel 9 Pro responded that the feature has been on its device for four years.

Not only stopping at Live Translate, iPhone also mentioned Hold Assist and Call Screening, causing Pixel to speak up that these features have been present on its devices for a long time.

Live Translate was introduced on the Pixel 6 in 2021, allowing for automatic translation of text messages and phone calls. The Hold for Me feature, similar to Hold Assist on iOS 26, was introduced by Google in 2020 on the Pixel 3, allowing users to take their eyes off their phones while waiting for a call. Call Screening has also been available on the Pixel 3 since 2018.

The question ends the video, along with an image of the Pixel 9 Pro. This is considered the first time Google has officially mentioned the Pixel 10, although it did not reveal a release date.

While no release date has been announced, multiple reports say Google is planning an event in mid-August and has already started filming ads for the Pixel 10.

According to leaks, the Pixel 10 series will not change much in design compared to the previous generation, but will be upgraded strongly inside. Specifically, the device will use a new Tensor chip manufactured on TSMC's process, promising to significantly improve battery efficiency - an inherent weakness of the Pixel series. In addition, the standard Pixel 10 can also be equipped with a telephoto camera, while the high-end versions also support telephoto macro zoom.
