Your password is at risk
Veteran security expert Davey Winder has repeatedly warned that email service providers, especially Gmail, are prime targets for hackers.
Google has also officially acknowledged this when Google's Vice President of Privacy, Safety and Security, Evan Kotsovinos, strongly encouraged all 2 billion users of the platform to make a simple but extremely important change.
The truth is that more than 60% of US consumers have seen an increase in phishing attacks in the past year, and a third of them have experienced a data breach.
Traditional passwords, no matter how complex, are vulnerable to phishing attacks and difficult to manage.
It's time to break your old habits and protect your accounts.
Switch to password lock
Google not only encourages users to change their regular passwords, but also calls for a switch to a completely new and superior security solution: Passkey.
“We want to move beyond passwords completely, while still keeping logging in as easy as possible,” Kotsovinos asserts.
“Each password locker consists of two keys – a unique public key stored on the company’s servers and a private key stored on your device,” explains Steve Won, product manager at 1Password.
This process makes passwords nearly impossible to guess or intercept by hackers, as they are randomly generated and never shared during the login process.”
Outstanding benefits
Password Lock is designed to protect against the most sophisticated phishing attacks. You can log in with just your face or fingerprint, eliminating the hassle of remembering complex passwords.
Meanwhile, users cannot create a weak password key; all password keys are strong and secure.
At the same time, your private key never leaves your device, eliminating the risk of attack. Adding a passcode key to your Gmail account automatically verifies your device ownership, making it faster and more secure to log in.
Switch to password lock in 3 steps:
Go to your Google account settings, go to security , then select the access lock and password lock option.

You then follow the instructions to verify your identity using your fingerprint or facial recognition on your device.
