New Apple products revealed

Accordingly, the source code of iOS 18.6 beta reveals that Apple is developing a Home Hub device (smart home hub) with a screen design similar to the iPad, used to control smart devices in the home, supporting the FaceTime feature and can be mounted on the wall.

However, the screen on the Apple Home Hub will likely have a lower resolution than the iPad. This is considered completely suitable for most use cases, users will view this device from a distance. In addition, low-resolution screens will also be cheaper to produce.

Apple’s entry into the smart home race could face stiff competition from rival Google, which has already established a diverse smart home ecosystem that supports connections to a wide range of third-party devices.
