Google Doodle selected the most typical images of nature and people in Ha Long Bay to celebrate December 17, 1994, when Ha Long Bay was first recognized by UNESCO as a World Natural Heritage.

Besides its natural values, Ha Long Bay is also a tourist attraction with great appeal to domestic and international tourists, attracting millions of visitors each year, contributing greatly to the local and Vietnamese economy .

Ha Long Bay is a small bay in the Gulf of Tonkin, including an island sea area formed 3 million years ago, now under the management of Ha Long city, Quang Ninh province.

According to Vietnamese folklore, a dragon landed in this sea, creating towering rocks on the water like the dragon's winding body. Currently, this area has nearly 2,000 large and small islands, a place of biodiversity with many endemic flora and fauna.
