Bringing light back to premature babies
Born prematurely at 26 weeks of pregnancy, weighing only 900 grams, this 3-week-old baby girl was diagnosed by doctors at Dak Lak General Hospital as being at risk of blindness due to premature birth. She was admitted to the Center for Screening and Treatment of Retinopathy of Prematurity (ROP) at Children's Hospital 1, Ho Chi Minh City, and treated for retinopathy of prematurity. She is one of dozens of premature babies being treated for retinopathy of prematurity.
