On the morning of June 30, at 7:30 am (Vietnam time), gasoline and oil prices decreased slightly. The global benchmark Brent crude oil price fell nearly 1%, trading at 67.11 USD/barrel; US WTI crude oil fell 1.5% to 64.54 USD/barrel.
World oil prices fell slightly amid easing tensions in the Middle East. Over the past week, Brent oil prices fell more than 13% and WTI crude crude oil prices fell more than 11%.
According to analysis, geopolitical risks in the Middle East have cooled down, while abundant supply and low demand are supporting the decline in oil prices. However, experts still warn that the risk of conflict escalation still exists and the market is closely monitoring developments in the Strait of Hormuz - the gateway for transporting energy from the Middle East to the world.

In Europe, refined fuel stocks at the Amsterdam-Rotterdam-Antwerp (ARA) hub fell to their lowest level in more than a year. In Asia, Singapore's distillate stocks also fell as net exports increased from the previous week. Analysts said that in the short term, world oil prices are expected to continue to adjust within a narrow range. On the one hand, conciliatory signals from the Middle East continue to restrain the increase. On the other hand, solid demand in the US and a weak USD are creating support for oil prices.
Given the above developments, the price of imported oil is also falling sharply. Estimates from key traders show that import prices are lower than domestic petroleum prices. Therefore, market developments reveal that during the weekly price adjustment period (Thursday, July 3), retail gasoline prices may fall sharply.
According to information from the Ministry of Industry and Trade , from 0:00 tomorrow (July 1), gasoline prices will be adjusted to reduce value added tax by 2% according to Resolution No. 204/2025 on value added tax reduction of the National Assembly issued on June 17, effective from July 1, 2025 to December 31, 2026.
The specific reductions are as follows: E5 RON92 gasoline is not higher than VND 20,530/liter (down VND 101/liter compared to the previous period); RON95-III gasoline is not higher than VND 21,116/liter (down VND 128/liter compared to the previous period); 0.05S diesel: not higher than VND 19,349/liter (up VND 193/liter compared to the previous period); kerosene is not higher than VND 19,064/liter (up VND 141/liter compared to the previous period); 180CST 3.5S fuel oil is not higher than VND 16,955/kg (down VND 668/kg compared to the previous period).
The time to apply the new base price will last until before the next announcement period of the Ministry of Industry and Trade (July 3).
Thus, this week, domestic gasoline prices have been adjusted twice./.
