Domestic gold price on August 20 decreased by 200,000 VND/tael

(GLO)- After reaching a peak of 125 million VND/tael and remaining stable yesterday, in today's trading session (August 20), the domestic gold price slightly decreased by 200,000 VND, returning to 124.8 million VND/tael.

Specifically, businesses such as DOJI , PNJ, Bao Tin Minh Chau, SIC are trading at 123.8-124.8 million VND/tael, the difference between buying and selling is 1 million VND. Mi Hong continues to keep the difference between buying and selling at a low level of 500,000 VND when listing the buying price at 124.3 million VND/tael. Phu Quy trades at a low buying price, at 122.8 million VND/tael.

For the gold ring market, businesses are currently listing stable prices as 2 days ago. Bao Tin Minh Chau continues to maintain the trading price of 117.2-120.2 million VND/tael; Mi Hong is currently listing at 117.8-119.3 million VND/tael; Phu Quy is trading both buying and selling at 116.7-119.7 million VND/tael; SJC is buying at 116.8 million VND and selling at 119.4 million VND/tael.

The world gold market also recorded a slight decrease. According to Kitco, at 4:00 a.m. on August 20, Vietnam time, the spot price was 3,326.23 USD/ounce, down 9.69 USD/ounce compared to yesterday. Converted according to the USD exchange rate at Vietcombank (26,490 VND/USD), the world gold price is about 106.44 million VND/tael (excluding taxes and fees). Thus, the price of SJC gold bars is 18.56 million VND/tael higher than the international gold price.
