The world gold price has just experienced a volatile week, especially in the last two sessions, after the news that the US may impose import tax on gold bars. Opening at 3,360 USD, the price closed the week at 3,397 USD per ounce. Before that, the precious metal had exceeded 3,400 USD.

In total, prices rose nearly $40, or 3.25%, for the week, in line with analysts' forecasts in the Kitco survey.

Forecasting the trend of world gold prices, the weekly gold survey of an international financial information platform shows that industry experts have returned to a state of strong optimism, while individual investors still maintain a positive view on the short-term prospects of gold.

This week, 10 analysts participate in the gold survey with Wall Street bulls regaining the upper hand after volatility and solid gains in gold prices this week.

Six experts (equivalent to 60%), predict that the world gold price will continue to increase next week, only one person (10%) predicts the price will decrease. The remaining three analysts (accounting for 30%) believe that the gold price will remain stable.

Meanwhile, Kitco's online survey received 188 votes, with the majority of Main Street investors remaining bullish on the global gold market.

There are 129 individual investors (equivalent to 69%) predicting that the world gold price will increase next week; only 23 people (12%) think that the price will decrease. The remaining 36 people (19%) predict that the price will continue to accumulate next week.
