Pepper price today 24/7 in world market
In the world market, based on quotes from export enterprises and export prices in various countries, the International Pepper Association (IPC) has updated the prices of all types of pepper traded in the international market on July 23 (Hanoi time) as follows:
The price of Indonesian Lampung black pepper increased slightly compared to yesterday, reaching 7,148 USD/ton (up 0.06%). In addition, the price of Muntok white pepper also decreased slightly compared to yesterday, reaching 9,992 USD/ton (up 0.06%).
Brazilian black pepper ASTA 570 price remained unchanged from yesterday at $6,000/tonne.
Malaysia’s ASTA black pepper price remained unchanged from yesterday at $8,900/ton. Meanwhile, the country’s ASTA white pepper price remained stable from yesterday at $11,750/ton.
Prices of all types of pepper in Vietnam are stable compared to yesterday. Of which, the price of Vietnamese black pepper 500 gr/l is 6,440 USD/ton; 550 gr/l is 6,570 USD/ton.
Similarly, Vietnam's white pepper price remained unchanged from yesterday at $9,150/ton.
According to VPSA, in the first 17 days of July 2025, Vietnam exported 10,808 tons of pepper, earning 70.3 million USD. Compared to the previous month, the volume decreased by 7.8% and the turnover decreased by 11.1%.
Major importers such as the US and EU are suspending purchases as they await the outcome of the reciprocal tax on Brazilian pepper. This has slowed global trade and reduced inventories. Meanwhile, pepper prices in India, Indonesia and Malaysia have remained virtually unchanged.
Despite a slight decrease in exports, Vietnamese pepper is still highly appreciated by the international market thanks to its stable quality, meeting standards and stable supply after harvest. The US, Europe and the Middle East continue to be the main import markets.
In the context of a volatile market, ensuring the supply chain from production to logistics helps Vietnamese pepper maintain its position in the world market.
There are still eight months left until the new harvest. Despite low supply, pepper prices have not increased sharply due to weak demand. Many businesses are still cautious, waiting for signals from major markets such as China and Europe. If demand recovers in the fourth quarter of 2025, prices may increase again.
