Thai Nguyen 19-09 Charity Club came to deliver relief goods to people in some communes of Nghe An province affected by storm No. 3. |
In late July, storm No. 3 (Wipha) made landfall in the North, causing severe damage to many provinces and cities. Nghe An was one of the most severely affected localities. Prolonged heavy rain, flash floods and landslides left thousands of households homeless, their property swept away, and their lives turned upside down. Many families, especially in the highlands, were left homeless, facing countless difficulties. Floods also killed 4 people and injured many others.
In such circumstances, the spirit of “mutual love” was strongly aroused. In Thai Nguyen , the call for support for flood victims from the Nghe An Provincial Fatherland Front Committee quickly spread across social platforms and was responded to with specific, practical actions.
What is worth mentioning is not only the speed of information dissemination, but also the proactive and responsible response from the community. Many volunteer groups, businesses, women's associations, youth unions, schools, etc. in Thai Nguyen have initiated a campaign to collect, pack and transport relief goods to the Central region. Each person contributes a little, each group contributes a hand, all of which have created a flow of affection sent to Nghe An.
From packages of instant noodles, boxes of clean water, intact clothes, school books... to envelopes of several hundred thousand dong collected from pensions, or money saved in students' piggy banks, all contain love, faith and hope wrapped in each gift.
Many volunteer groups, such as the 19-09 Charity Club, have directly organized relief trips to Nghe An to hand out essential gifts to the people. Not to be filmed or praised, but simply to share, comfort, and support the people in the flood-affected areas during their most difficult times.
Although there are no complete statistics on the total material value supported by Thai Nguyen, one thing is certain: the greatest value is not in the numbers. It is a concrete action that nurtures the community spirit, a vivid expression of the tradition of “the rich help the poor” of our nation.
After the storms, houses will be rebuilt and roads will be cleared. But what will last the longest and most deeply is human love. It is this kindness that soothes the pain of natural disasters, supports the vulnerable, and ignites the belief that when a place is in need, everywhere will be ready to lend a helping hand.
