In each revolutionary period, our province has always paid special attention to youth work. During the resistance war, many specific movements and activities were launched and organized to encourage young people in the province to enthusiastically compete, be proactive, and volunteer on the fronts of production, combat, labor, and study, further enhancing the glorious tradition of Thanh Hoa youth. Notably, responding to the movements "Three ready", "Five volunteer" with the spirit of "Splitting Truong Son to save the country", tens of thousands of young people enthusiastically both worked and produced and participated in the fight against the crazy destruction of the American invaders. Among them, thousands of outstanding children of the homeland heroically sacrificed or left a part of their blood on the battlefield. Many collectives and individuals were awarded certificates of merit by Uncle Ho, the Party, and the Government , notably 53 young people were awarded the Uncle Ho Badge; 83 young people were honored as Heroes of the Armed Forces; 6 young people were awarded the Labor Hero title...

During the process of building socialism in the North, in connection with the times Uncle Ho visited Thanh Hoa or many times sent letters of encouragement, inquiry, and praise for the achievements of the Party Committee and the people of Thanh Hoa , Uncle Ho always devoted a part to talking about youth, teenagers, and children. The fourth and last time he visited Thanh Hoa (December 1961), talking to the people and cadres of the province, Uncle affirmed: “Our province has nearly 120,000 party members, union members, and young workers, that is a very large force. Cadres, party members, union members, and young workers need to truly volunteer, set an example in increasing production, practicing thrift... Strive to develop and consolidate the Party and the Union; unite the entire people to compete for progress together”.

Visiting Yen Truong Cooperative, Yen Truong Commune, Uncle Ho commended and praised some outstanding achievements of the Cooperative that need to be further promoted; awarded his badge to some outstanding individuals participating in the production emulation movement such as young man Trinh Gia Minh, Yen Truong Commune, who made 113m3 of irrigation, 370 quintals of fertilizer, 332 working days; Hoang Thi An, Yen Truong Commune, who made 100m3 of irrigation, 140 quintals of fertilizer, 300 working days. At the same time, Uncle Ho took the time to ask about the "Three Ready" movement of the youth union.

Uncle Ho praised and encouraged the youth union members to continue the movement, to light torches to do irrigation in the fields, to make fertilizer at night so that they could participate in production labor in the fields with the cooperative members during the day. From Uncle Ho's instructions, it motivated the Party Committee, the government, the people and the youth force at that time to strive in work and study to break many records. Many young people forgot about their family work, took care of collective work to become masters of irrigation, masters of rice planting, masters of water fern farming, masters of forest planting...

...to continue, to inherit

Nowadays, youth is always placed at the center of the strategy of training and promoting human resources and factors, ensuring the stability and sustainable development of the country. Deeply aware of the position and role of youth, on April 2, 2014, the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee issued Directive No. 18-CT/TU on "Strengthening the leadership of Party committees at all levels on youth work in the new situation". Thoroughly grasping and implementing the Provincial Party Committee's directive, localities and units have done a good job of training, educating and nurturing the young generation and promoting the responsibility of youth to their homeland and country.

Building the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union of Thanh Hoa to be strong in politics, ideology, and organization, truly a reliable reserve force of the Party, the political core of the movement has always been an important goal and task that the Provincial Youth Union pays attention to and closely directs. Currently, the whole province has more than 1 million members participating in grassroots youth organizations. In recent years, the provincial Youth Union chapters have well organized major movements and campaigns, such as: "Youth establishing a career", "Youth volunteering"... Through participating in movements and campaigns, youth union members have raised their awareness, sense of responsibility, and obligations to society; enhanced their political capacity, trust in the Party's leadership and the State's policies and laws. Through the movement, a favorable environment has been created for young cadres to experience, train themselves, mature, and supplement resources for the Party.

For example, in Tho Long commune, as a young cadre who has been trained and matured from the work of the Youth Union and the youth and children's movement, and was assigned to hold the positions of Secretary of the Tho Xuan District Youth Union, Secretary of the Party Committee of Xuan Tan Commune (old), and Head of the Inspection Committee of the Tho Xuan District Party Committee, in July 2025, comrade Luu Thi Anh Dao continued to be assigned to hold the position of Chairman of the People's Committee of Tho Long Commune. Comrade Luu Thi Anh Dao shared: "In all working positions, I have always fulfilled well the tasks assigned by the Party Committee and the government. This is also one of the key tasks, a good condition for me to mature, be steadfast in political qualities, professional qualifications, accumulate practical experience, have comprehensive leadership methods, contributing to improving the leadership capacity and fighting strength of the Party".

Continuing the glorious journey of generations of fathers and brothers, today's young generation always firmly believes in the leadership of the Party, upholds the spirit of patriotism, and strives to contribute to building and defending the Fatherland.
