Gia Lai completes construction and repair of 2,451 houses for meritorious people

Towards the 78th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs Day (July 27, 1947 - July 27, 2025), Gia Lai province has completed the construction and repair of 2,451 houses for families of meritorious people and relatives of martyrs in the area.

According to the Gia Lai Provincial People's Committee, all the houses were handed over and put into use on the occasion of July 27. Of these, 1,022 houses were newly built and 1,429 houses were repaired. This is the result of the participation of the entire political system, demonstrating the morality of "When drinking water, remember its source", showing gratitude for the contributions and sacrifices of previous generations.

Chairman of Gia Lai Provincial People's Committee Pham Anh Tuan visited families receiving support to remove temporary and dilapidated houses in mountainous areas.

At the same time, the province also implemented support to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses for 10,069 poor, near-poor and newly escaped-poverty households, including 8,084 newly built houses and 1,985 repaired houses. To date, the whole province has completed 12,506 houses, reaching 99.9% of the plan. The remaining 14 houses in Bau Can commune are under construction due to the impact of heavy rain from storm No. 3. The local government is urgently speeding up the progress, striving to complete it as soon as possible.
