The Catholic Solidarity Committee of Thai Nguyen province coordinated to organize the donation of support to build a Great Solidarity house for the family of Mr. Pham Van Dat, Thang Loi hamlet, Phu Xuyen commune. |
Mr. Dat's family is poor and has been living in a makeshift, dilapidated house for many years. On this occasion, the Provincial Catholic Solidarity Committee supported 20 million VND; together with the contributions of Yen Lang Parish and other kind-hearted organizations and individuals, the family has more conditions to build a new, spacious house and stabilize their lives.
Speaking at the house handover ceremony, Ms. Nguyen Thi Minh, Permanent Vice President of the Provincial Catholic Solidarity Committee, shared: Although the support is not large in material terms, it demonstrates the charitable spirit of Catholic compatriots, has profound humanitarian meaning, contributes to poverty reduction, and strengthens the great national solidarity bloc.
Priest Do Cong Vien expressed his wish that through social charity activities, he would continue to accompany the government and the Vietnam Fatherland Front in caring for the poor, spreading the spirit of solidarity and love in the community.
The donation of the Great Solidarity House clearly demonstrates the role of the Provincial Catholic Solidarity Committee in social security work, contributing to further strengthening the relationship between Catholics and the government and people of all ethnic groups in the area.
