Nearly 3,000 artists recreate the nation's 80-year heroic history

The music night "80 years of the Journey of Independence - Freedom - Happiness" was elaborately staged on a grand scale with the participation of nearly 3,000 professional and amateur artists.

On the evening of September 1, a special national art program with the theme of 80 years of the journey of Independence - Freedom - Happiness took place at My Dinh National Stadium, Hanoi. The music night was directed by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, and performed by the Vietnam National Opera and Ballet in coordination with art units.

In particular, the program also brings together many famous artists such as People's Artist Thanh Lam, Meritorious Artist Dang Duong, Meritorious Artist Vu Thang Loi, Trong Tan, Meritorious Artist Pham Khanh Ngoc, Pham Thu Ha, My Tam, Tung Duong, Den Vau, Soobin Hoang Son, Mono...

The art program is structured into 3 chapters including “The Road to Independence - Reunification”; “Aspiration for the Fatherland” and “My Fatherland, Never So Beautiful”. Each part is a piece of history, creating a comprehensive picture of the journey of building and protecting the country.

The music night was invested elaborately and grandly.

In 90 minutes, with an artistic space invested in grand and elaborate staging, the program brings the audience back to heroic historical moments throughout the 80 arduous but heroic years of the nation.

The symphony My Fatherland and the medley Voluntary - Praising the Fatherland opened the program, arousing pride and emotion.

Reports and animations such as Dark Night of History, Long Night of Slavery, along with immortal songs Footprints in the Front, The Internationale, Together We Go Red Soldiers and National Guards portrayed the seething revolutionary spirit, urging millions of hearts to share the desire for independence.

Many viewers were moved when they heard songs that they had not heard for a long time on professional music stages, such as "Em di dau bien vang" (Young sea walk), "Hat ve cay lua hom nay" (Singing about rice plants today). And of course, songs such as "Khat vong tuoi tre", "Vinh quang dang cho ta", "Yeu nu cuoi Viet Nam" (Love the smile of Vietnam)...

The performances recreate the heroic history of the nation.

My Tam with her powerful voice and liberal performance style when singing Aspiration of Youth. Soobin brought youthful energy with his performance of the song Glory Waiting for Us.

Singer Tung Duong brings the heroic songs Continue the story of peace and Proudly continue the future. In addition, the male singer gently harmonizes with colleagues Thanh Lam and Hoang Bach in the song Love the smile of Vietnam.

Modern music blends with folk songs and symphonies, creating a bridge between the past and the present, conveying the message: The aspiration to build a strong country is the responsibility and belief of the entire nation.

My Tam excelled in the performance "Youthful Aspirations".

In particular, excerpts from President Ho Chi Minh 's immortal Declaration of Independence echoed in the artistic space, bringing the audience back to the historic moment of September 2, 1945.

Special report "Summary of 80 years of achievements" looks back at the country's strong development journey in fields from science, education, culture, sports to international integration.

The program ended with the heroic sound of the song Tien Quan Ca, like a sacred oath: Vietnam - Eternal Fatherland, everlasting nation.
