Few people know that this is one of the places where the first Party cell was established in 1930. Tan Thanh is also one of the five units of Ca Mau town that President Ton Duc Thang signed a decree to confer the title of Hero of the People's Armed Forces in 1978.

Cai Nhuc - Tan Thanh village , Tan Thanh ward, is one of the places where the first party cell was established in 1930, with 5 party members including comrades: Huynh De Tham, Hong Lac Bong, Phan Khac Nhuong, To Phuong Ha and Tang Hong Phuc (Secretary). These were the red seeds, laying the foundation for the revolutionary movement in the locality.

Cai Nhuc - Tan Thanh Memorial House, where the first Party cell of Tan Thanh commune was established, is a red address for educating traditions for the young generation.

Mr. Huynh Dam, former member of the Party Central Committee, former Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front , affirmed: “From the first party members, under the leadership of the Party, the Tan Thanh Commune Party Committee led the people to follow the path chosen by Uncle Ho, continuing to overcome difficulties and challenges to contribute to the success of the August Revolution, establishing the Democratic Republic of Vietnam (now the Socialist Republic of Vietnam). Besides, in the two long resistance wars of the nation, the people of Tan Thanh Commune suffered many sacrifices and losses, contributing to the great resistance war of the nation. Among them, many mothers became Heroic Vietnamese Mothers, many young people became Heroes of the People's Armed Forces. Promoting this tradition, the Party Committee, army and people of Tan Thanh (now Tan Thanh Ward) continued to achieve extremely important achievements, contributing to the renewal of the country in general and the development of Ca Mau in particular”.

Mr. Huynh Dam, former member of the Party Central Committee, former Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, offered incense at Cai Nhuc - Tan Thanh Memorial House in August 2025.

Coming to Tan Thanh, the changes are evident on every street and roof. There are wide roads, schools, spacious medical stations and there the appearance of a civilized urban area is taking shape, with much potential for development.

After the merger, Tan Thanh Ward's agricultural and aquatic production area has been expanded, creating room for sustainable economic development. The ward currently has more than 2,500 hectares of aquaculture, notably models of eel, goby, and super-intensive shrimp farming. Collective economic forms have developed according to specific industries, helping to increase people's income. The ward's economy has grown quite well every year, with state budget revenue reaching 248.5 billion VND, exceeding the plan by 105%. Trade, services, and tourism account for a high proportion in the economic structure. The system of supermarkets, markets, and commercial centers has developed steadily, ensuring a rich and diverse supply of goods. Accommodation services have developed rapidly, meeting the needs of tourists well.

Together with other localities in the province, the Party Committee, army and people of Tan Thanh continue to promote the revolutionary tradition, striving to build the ward into a smart, civilized, gradually modern urban area , worthy of being the central ward of Ca Mau province./.
